Hello! Welcome to Henderson Kennel's website! We are located in the heart of Middle Tennessee, in the city of Murfreesboro, an exurb of Nashville and the geographic center of the state of Tennessee. Murfreesboro is Tennessee's fastest growing major city and one of the fastest growing cities in the country. After years of breeding Jack Russell Terriers and English Mastiffs, we have decided to try our luck with French Bulldogs. We do not breed our French Bulldogs for a living and do not view our Frenchies as a commodity. As of present date, we only have our two (2) French Bulldogs, Gerdie and Gunther. We are focused on breeding beautiful healthy quality dogs. Our French Bulldogs are kept inside and are given plenty of love and care. As most breeders and books say, French Bulldogs are a high maintenance breed--there is no exaggeration in that statement. So please do your research before purchasing a French Bulldog and realizing you do not have the time, needs, and or money for this breed. We anticipate a French Bulldog litter at the end of 2009. However, breeding French Bulldogs is associated with many let downs, so only time can tell if we will be successful. We have temporarily stopped breeding our English Mastiffs due to the age of our female. We are now just offering our male English Mastiff for stud service. In due time, we may purchase another female Mastiff, but it is unknown as of present date. Also, I am always available for any questions.  Meet Gerdie. Gerdie, or otherwise known as "Henderson's French Connection," is our very own first female French Bulldog. Gerdie is a brindle and white full hooded pie-bald. She currently weighs about 20lbs. She is a wonderful little dog, who is prestigious at times, but otherwise a joy to be around. When I say prestigious, I say that in regard to her being picky and sassy. She has a preference of dog food, toys, dog beds, and where she uses the bathroom. She will not otherwise do what is intended unless she has it her way. She is a wonderful dog. She doesn't have (or has had) any health problems. She is AKC registered and has 17 champions in her 5 generation pedigree. Below are a few pictures of Gerdie. She loves to play almost as much as she loves to sleep!  Above is a picture of Gerdie at 6 weeks old!      |
 Meet Gunther. Gunther, or otherwise known as " Henderson's Gunther of Grace," is our male French Bulldog. He is a honey pied French Bulldog, or moreless a cream with a white mark down his face. Gunther weighs approximately 20lbs and is a fat dog at heart. He will wait patiently while anyone eats waiting for the smallest scrap. He is the funniest dog and havent met anyone who didnt fall in love with him. He is always happy and hops/prances everywhere he goes. An atttention hog at its best. There are so many wonderful things I could say about Gunther. If I have a bad day, Gunther and his funny ways, is guaranteed to cheer me up. He is registered with the American Kennel Club and has 22 champions in his 5 generation pedigree. More pictures of Gunther are Below  Above is a picture of baby Gunther at about 8 weeks.       |
 Meet Hambone, or otherwise known as "Bodey of Henderson Manor." Hambone is a fawn English Mastiff male weighing in roughly around 190lbs. One must be weary of Mastiff's weight because, as in any mammal, weight corresponds to many health related problems. Hambone has maintained his weight and is in amazing health. We purchased Hambone as pick of the litter. Hambone is a very humble and gentle dog, whos bark is louder than his bite. Many people request that we pen Hambone when guests come to visit, but what most people dont notice is that Hambone is extremely frightened by our cat. He is very sociable and a wonerful pet.
